Two Keys to Success (At Anything)

— Which includes becoming a talented artist.

Just two simple things . . . each of them easy to do, each of them easy not to do.

Number One: You must show up, prepared to do the work.
Number Two: You must keep showing up.

And pay special attention to that second one. Most people simply don’t keep going. And that’s where they fail.

It’s actually pretty easy to show up that first time at Photoshop. It’s easy to show up the first time for a new class or course. Just as it’s easy to show up the first time at the gym or at that cool new healthy restaurant in town.

The hard part is CONTINUING to show up.

Again and again.

And again.

And again.

If you want to become a talented artist, there’s really not much more to it than that. And if you’re here, you’ve already shown up. That’s awesome. Now just keep showing up.

Keep studying the courses you’re working through. Keep lingering over the magazine each month for inspiration. Keep picking up your camera and writing in your journal.

But most of all, keep CREATING.

Do that and everything will open up for you.
