We sell ourselves short. All the time.
I see it everywhere — people not even trying. Drives me crazy.
Just about anyone you pull out of the crowd could, if you put them to it, come up with a list of things they know they should be doing (but aren’t), other things they know they shouldn’t be doing (but are).
Even the ambitious tend to circumscribe their visions of what is possible to them.
They might want certain things … but still they hold back.
Why?
Because what they want to attempt (or achieve, or accomplish) feels … difficult.
Fact is, it probably isn’t anywhere near as difficult as they let themselves think it is.
But because they won’t even try, it just seems difficult.
And thus the whole thing spirals in on itself.
Reality is, if you just get a little more courageous, if you take just a few more chances with your photography and your art, if you get up the nerve to push just a little outside of your comfort circle — you will likely find that what you think is so difficult … really isn’t. Not any longer.
If you will dare great things, the whole world will open up to you, and what you once thought an unobtainable dream will become your accepted reality.
