How uncomfortable are you willing to get in order to capture a really interesting photo?

How awkward are you willing to be? And what risks will you take?

How far will you step outside your cozy comfort circle?

This fantastic image by conceptual artist Bethany Perron is fantastic in part because she was willing to get a little uncomfortable and pose herself in a way I’d estimate 99% of other photographers are simply not willing to do.

There’s no escaping that.

And I’m not just talking about being okay with taking off your clothes for the sake of capturing a great photo. LOL.

There is a LOT of room to explore outside that familiar, safe comfort circle of yours.

And the thing is, when you step out there for your work . . . your audience can tell.

That is what stops them in their tracks.
