— Exciting News! We have so much talent in Australia and New Zealand that our regular monthly magazine isn’t enough to contain it all. Which is why we’ve just seen a brand new magazine rolled out featuring artwork by our AWAKE artists “Down Under.”

The first issue just went live, and it’s extraordinary.

The new magazine is under the editorship of AWAKE artist Athalie Taylor.

Here is the official press release she prepared for the launch:

A new group, “Artists Down Under – Australia and New Zealand,” came together March 1st, and today their first magazine is launched.

What a month March was … a veritable flurry of activity and excitement, as members joined the group and prepared their work for inclusion in the first edition of the magazine.

The artists whose work is featured in the magazine met through Sebastian Michaels’s “Photoshop Artistry: Fine Art Grunge Composition” and “AWAKE: Living the Photo Artistic Life” online digital artistry courses.

Friendships on- and off-line developed and grew leading to the formation of the group and the publication of their own magazine.

Every month (commencing with this first edition on April 1st 2017) you will be able to view the member’s magazine online through links on Issuu, on Facebook, and within Photoshop Artistry and AWAKE. Members will be posting links on their own social media sites as well, so many people will have access to the magazine.

The members of the organizing team have done an amazing job to get everything up and running so quickly and smoothly. Thanks to all the team. Colin Kim Butterworth designed, in collaboration with me, the overall look for the magazine and set up the templates. He also periodically kept an eye on the job as I worked on the magazine and placed the work of 64 creative and talented artists. Colin Campbell is a proof-reader extraordinaire, his edits and ideas were welcomed. Mary Knaggs set up the two Facebook pages, a private one for the members and a public one; without her there would be no Facebook presence. I would also like to thank Sebastian Michaels for his encouragement and support. Without Sebastian and our team this would be just a thought, but now it’s a reality.

We are the ARTISTS DOWN UNDER – AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND and we’re about to be launched onto the world stage.

A big thank you to all the contributing artists, your work is incredible.
